Who we are
Buildr is operated by Solutions Intelligentes SmartGrants Sougou Inc. ("SmartGrants", "we", "us"), a corporation registered in Ontario, Canada, with registered address 129 Lerta Way, Orleans, Ontario, Canada.
We are the controller for account, billing and usage data. For personal data contained in the applications you generate and publish, you are the controller and we act as a processor on your instructions.

Scope of this policy
This policy applies when you visit apps.smartgrants.io, create an account, subscribe to a plan or buy credits, use the builder to generate an application, or share a preview with other people.
What we collect
Account data: the email address you sign up with, a display name if you provide one, your chosen language, and — if you sign in with Google — the profile name and picture Google returns.
Product data: your projects and their settings, the messages you write in the builder, the code and files generated for you, preview shares and invitations you create, and the store listings you draft.
Usage and billing data: your credit ledger, which records every grant, debit and top-up so a balance can be derived, and subscription records. Card details are handled by our payment processor and never reach our servers.
Connections: when you add an API key, the key itself is stored in an encrypted vault. Our database keeps only a reference, a label and the last four characters.
Why we process it
To operate your account and authenticate you, to generate and host what you build, to meter and bill usage, to prevent abuse, and to answer support requests. The legal basis is the performance of our contract with you, our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure, and our accounting and tax obligations.
How we use artificial intelligence
Your build prompts and project content are sent to model providers so your application can be generated and edited.
That data is not used to train foundation models — this is the contractual default of the commercial tiers we use. We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for advertising.
Who else sees it
Our sub-processors: hosting and database, edge hosting, AI model providers, our payment processor for subscriptions and top-ups, and Google when you choose Google sign-in.
Professional advisers under duties of confidentiality, authorities where required by law, and an acquirer in connection with a corporate transaction, subject to the continuity of this policy.
International data transfers
Personal data may be processed in Canada and the United States. For EEA and UK transfers we rely on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, together with encryption, access control and audit logging.
How long we keep it
Active accounts: data is retained for the duration of your subscription.
After termination: account and project data is returned or deleted within 60 days, except where longer retention is required by law. Credit ledger entries are append-only and retained for billing integrity.
Billing records: retained as required by applicable tax law, typically 6 to 10 years.
Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (GDPR, UK GDPR, Quebec Law 25, PIPEDA, CPRA), you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your data, object to processing and withdraw consent. Write to privacy@smartgrants.io.
You may also lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority in your country of residence.
