Web preview and sharing

Trying the app yourself, and letting other people try it.

Needs setup

The live preview

Every project renders in a sandboxed preview beside the conversation. Phone projects preview as a close approximation in the browser — layout and behavior are right, but native device features are not.

Shareable snapshots

On a paid plan you can publish a frozen snapshot of the app to a link you control. Building on afterwards does not move the snapshot until you republish it.

A share is private by default: you invite people by email address, and access follows the address rather than the link, so forwarding it achieves nothing. You can also make it public. Shared pages are never indexed by search engines.

Testing on a real phone

Phone projects can be opened on a device through Expo Go by scanning a QR code, which is the fastest way to check gestures, keyboards and scrolling.

Device testing needs an Expo account connected in your settings. Purchases never complete in Expo Go or in the web preview — they only work in a real store build.
